Welfare Limit Law - My Entitlement Program Rant

Welfare Limit Law - My Entitlement Program Rant:

New 48 Month Welfare Limit Law
My Entitlement Program Rant

Mich. governor signs 48-month welfare limitGov. Rick Snyder on Tuesday [September 6th, 2011] signed into law a stricter, four-year lifetime limit on cash welfare benefits, prompting advocates for the poor to warn that tens of thousands of residents will find themselves without cash assistance on Oct. 1.

Michigan's first-year Republican chief executive said the state will offer exemptions to the limit for those with a disability who can't work, those who care for a disabled spouse or child and those who are 65 or older and don't qualify for Social Security benefits or receive very low benefits.

Some recipients who are the victims of domestic violence also may be temporarily exempted. (Continue reading this story).

It isn't an easy subject to talk about, especially when there are kids involved, but there was a reason we reformed our welfare system and it is about time that we start enforcing some of those reforms. Welfare was never meant to be a permanent solution and while it functions as if you have a full-time job just to apply, it is up to YOU to break the chain of dependency because at this point the Government has made it clear that no on will be doing it for you! What is worse is if you use your time on assistance qualifying because you have a child you are using that child's time he or she is aloud to receive help from the state and they will be unable to use the system for themselves if they need it for an emergency in their adulthood. Civil rights groups can argue all day and night about how unfair this situation is, but the reality is that money or no money the people in power have chosen the upper middle-class and rich over those in poverty. This leaves the poor, and almost poor, to fend for the scraps or pull themselves up out of the ghettos. It is up to YOU!

Churches are really going to have to step up and earn their keep now. There is a reason why Churches are not required to pay taxes and with so many people below the poverty line losing what, for most, is their only income it will be the Churches responsibility to care for all of these people. I know the Law only applies in Michigan at the moment but if you think every state will not be following suit like pins falling down at the end of a bowling lane you are not just one of the Blind Sheeple you're New World Order Cattle!

Do not misunderstand me here. I think the transfer of the responsibility to take care of the needy from the Government to the Non-Profit and Private sector is the 100% right thing to do. The Government was never meant to provide Entitlement Programs like Welfare, the Church was always meant to care for the poor and that is why they were afforded special privileges, such as no taxation. If the Churches fail to do their jobs in this scenario I say we Tax them all to support the Welfare System that they forced the Government to provide by not providing the care they promised.

Even with the broken promises of the Religious Sector I doubt the Government would have ever stepped in with such large scale money draining "assistance programs" if it has not been for The Bill of Rights II. On January 11, 1944, in the midst of World War II, President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) gave a speech outlining Rights that he felt our country had a moral duty to provide. This was never meant to become law or be forcefully implemented in any way. His speech was taken very seriously by many Americans though and despite FDR's wishes many people make it their life's work to fulfill the agenda outlined in The Bill of Rights II speech. It is often referred to as The Economic Bill of Rights and has worked its way into the minds of many Americans making them truly believe that The Constitution entitles them to these "Entitlement Programs".

Here are some of the promises The Economic Bill of Rights makes to Americans that were never meant to become part of our Founding Father's version of America:

The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;

The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;

The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;

The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;

The right of every family to a decent home;

The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;

The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;

The right to a good education.

While morally we all want to provide these things to our children and grandchildren we don't want to be forced to provide it for people who don't want to work for it or does not appreciate it when they get it. Few of us wouldn't assist a child in need if we had the means to do so but this is not about that, it is about remembering how great America was when we followed (REAL) The Bill of Rights and The Constitution and didn't muck it all up with this emotionally driven stuff. When we use the tools our Forefathers left for us to live freely and pursue true happiness we obtain the things we need along the way to provide the morally conscious gifts outlined in The Bill of Rights II to our families as well as those in need.

Sometimes I think that is how the Tea Party sees things. There are so many fractions of the Tea Party it seems to very from person to person. I feel a real kinship with the Tea Party Movement a lot of the time, but there are things I just cannot support that they strongly believe in. Immigration Law (Anchor Babies) are my biggest sore spot with the Tea Party because I feel they want to change The Constitution and I believe if we just start living by The Constitution again and throw out ridiculous, expensive, and time consuming Laws like those involving Medical Marijuana and unlawful intrusive TSA searches of Old Ladies and Children the need for Revolution would be no more. The true America would be restored and just like they end all sweet stories and fairy-tales, I will end this rant with...

We Would All Live Happily Ever After!
