Free School Loans and Mortgages, but Who is Paying?
Desperate times call for desperate strategies and all hands on deck to prevent untold societal despair. The trickle-down rationale for the $700 billion federal bailout package (every penny provided for by the American taxpayer) was a long shot with dreadful results including a frivolous spending extravaganza for “needy” billion dollar corporations. HR 365 may have it’s drawbacks too, but with college students accruing record amounts of student loan debt at high interest rates, a radical approach could actually present the solution. It’s time the middle class receive some of the benefits and safeguards that those less in need of it habitually enjoy. I love the idea of someone paying my bills! Who wouldn't? But as we all know, if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Economic stimulus plans have now been proven not to work. That said, I agree that this form of stimulus package would at least be moving in the right direction to make our economy more stable. It is about time the government stop giving FREE cash to corporations and shrimp on treadmills research projects and starts giving it back to the people who paid for it in the first place.
I might be a Democrat but Tend to wain toward the Ultra Conservative team. I have even been accused of being a member of the Tea Party, a badge I wear with honor thank you very much! I can't help but question the idea of "free money" and I think you should too, no matter what part of the spectrum your politics fall on. I am not saying H.RES.365 is a Bad thing or a Good thing, I am saying it is a thing that needs to be questioned, scrutinized, and monitored. I just don't think we should leap BEFORE we look!!!
Either way, if this passes or fails, be assured this is going to count toward the coming 2012 Presidential Elections. If this passes there is no doubt it will show favorably for President Obama come election time. This will surely effect the way both the Tea Party and the Republicans view this measure. I don't think that re-election should be why it is or is not considered however because if this is something that will remove the burden from the American Taxpayer moving forward it should be welcomed by our political leaders regardless of their party affiliations.
